The competitor’s laces come from Flammi and they resemble Hickies laces but with a different kind of fastening system. The Flammis were not as stretchy as Erkies and one of them ended up breaking. The Flammis come in only one size so there’s not as much if any adjustability for tightness. The Erkies laces come in 8 different sizes so you can adjust the tension for a great custom fit for your shoes.
Another factor is that the competitors laces come in a pack of 12 whereas the Erkies shoelaces has 32! More for your money and more options as far as custom fit goes!
